ETNICA A STRONG SENSE OF IDENTITY, BRINGING LIFE + SOUL

Prisca Llagostera

Prisca Llagostera is the founder of ETNICA, a laid-back and alternative approach to hospitality management who focuses on the people, stories and un je ne sais quois that give hotels and spaces  unique character and personalities far beyond their physical structures. Turning a space into a place of wonder or a house into a warm, cozy home is where she thrives.

Born in Andorra to an English mother and Spanish father, Prisca has been obsessed with hotels and everything about them ever since she can remember. After attending the International Boarding School in Lugano, Switzerland she moved to London to pursue a degree in European Studies and Management at the University of London.

After a quick stint working at the United Nations in NYC, she quickly realized her passion lay in the world of hospitality, events and programming - spearheading VIP programmes at global events including the London Olympics, London’s FRIEZE art fair and the Rugby World Cup in Paris to name a few.

Today, fluent in over four languages with over a decade of experience in the luxury + lifestyle hotel and hospitality sector [including her very own Design Hotel™ , L'ovella Negra  in Andorra and Kokos Huis in South Africa] Prisca found her niche in bridging the gap between the traditional hard skills - operations, management and training and the lesser, harder to master soft skills that make spaces unique - such as the interior design, the overall guest experience as well as the vibe.

Prisca currently splits her time between Andorra and South Africa, where you can often find her in the Swartland, sipping on a glass of Intellego, her husband’s really really good natural wine.

She believes in a natural form of luxury that affects the senses in a discreet way. It is pleasant to the eye, it feels real, makes one feel special and is something one will not forget. No frills, no nonsense. Luxury reinterpreted.
